Hope Glitters

Hope glitters like sunlight on the morning dew.

Soft summer breeze with bird songs to greet you.

Smells of wood and charred cinders still last.

Memories of the special firelit evening past:

Certain wisps of clouds rose against a fragile blue sky.

A giant crystal dome, charged with static angle sighs.

We heard them singing on the night before,

Their voices crashing like waves on shore.

Leaping high like breaking spray.

And thund'ring down like endless day.

And joining in, our crackling fire

Clapped in time with the angels' choir.
